Is your teacher great at being green?

Well after a wee break over the past month, I'm back, and with only a week or so before kids in NI head back to school, I thought I'd give some much deserved promotion to Belfast Harbour/Action Renewable's search for the Best Green Teacher of 2011.

Primary school pupils are being asked to nominate the teacher they think deserves this years award, telling Action Renewables in no more than 100 words how and why their teacher is the most eco friendly around; whether they are the best at recycling and teaching others to do so, or perhaps they have organised a school garden and encouraged children to get involved.

Children should send their entries to ‘Belfast Harbour Green Teacher of the Year 2011', Action Renewables Block C, Unit 1, Boucher Business Studios, Glenmachan Place, Belfast, BT12 6QH or email education@actionrenewables.co.uk by October 21st. Six finalist and their classes will be invited to an all expenses paid fun challenge day on the 16th November.
