Latest Member of the Greensheen Family

Well yesterday afternoon at approximately 12.24pm, we welcomed into the world the newest addition to the Greensheen family, my nephew Zack Apsin. Born one month premature due to complications in the pregnancy, Zack is currently in intensive care to allow his lungs to develop properly, though he's already proving himself to be quite the little trooper, feeding and sleeping well. My hard as nails sister delivered him without the planned epidural and is recovering well, and I wish the both of them all the luck and love in the world.

I get very mushy around new borns and it certainly reminded me of just some of the reasons why I write this blog. Family is so important to me; my son, niece and nephew are some of the most amazing people I'll probably ever meet, and at the heart of the environmentalist in me, is the knowledge that I want to make the world a better place for them above anything else. To paraphrase the old Native American saying, they'll not inherit this earth from me, I'm merely renting it from them.
